Kirchberg - Luxembourg

This avenue, which stretches from the centre of the city of Luxembourg towards the airport, was planted over a period of several years. For this project, large batches of Quercus robur, Quercus robur ‘Fastigiate Koster’ and Pyrus calleryana ‘Chanticleer‘ were planted parallel to the tramways and the main roads that traverse the Kirchberg, on the basis of cultivation contracts. Designed by Latz + Partner, this project is proof that with proper preparation, after care and the right species and quality of trees, even the most urban environment can be given a green appearance.
