The owners of this garden in a residential area in Brabant were keen on having some privacy. Tuintechnisch Bureau Smeulders signed up for the design came to the nursery with their client to find substantial trees to block the view of their rear neighbours. They opted for Sequoiadendron giganteum (giant redwood), which stays green in winter. Other trees include a swamp oak, a cork oak and a Parrotia persica macro bonsai as an eye-catcher. There are large groups including evergreen rhododendrons around the perimeter. The trees were hoisted over the house using a telescopic crane. After planting, the garden already looked as though it was years old.
